Outreach is conducted both day and night to sex industry workplaces, including massage and full-service brothels, B&D houses, strip clubs, private workers, safe houses and street sex work locations. We try and cover as much area as we can, outreaching to the greater Sydney area, Hunter and the Illawarra.
The principles that SWOP uses in our outreach services are:
- peer education
- self-determination
- harm minimisation.
On a typical outreach, SWOP offers free safe sex "workers packs" to each worker we see. We carry sex worker information and support resources in a number of languages. You can also put in a request for us to bring sponges, boxes of condoms, extra tubes of lube and DVDs for purchase.
If you would like to request an outreach to your workplace, send us your details via our outreach request form. Due to the number of sex industry venues, SWOP may not always be able to outreach right away—but we will prioritise your request.
