Appointments to positions with SWOP and ACON are based on merit. This means that in every case the applicant who is judged to be the most capable of carrying out the duties of the position will be offered the job. The decision to appoint is based on the applicant’s written application, performance at interview, referees check and a criminal record check.

We endeavour to provide students in relevant disciplines the opportunity to gain experience through placements in some of SWOP’s programs and services. We accept a limited number of placements and have previously placed students from the fields of:
